Chocolate Cake in a Mug

Do you ever have a craving for chocolate cake, but no time to make it or only want a single serving? Well here is the recipe for you! This chocolate cake in a mug is an easy way to have gooey chocolate cake without spending hours baking or having way too much. This cake is easy to make, uses few ingredients, and takes very little time! It is perfect to indulge in.


3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

¼ teaspoon baking powder

Pinch of salt (optional)

3 tablespoons of milk

3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Splash of vanilla extract (optional)

3 tablespoons of chocolate chips

First, put the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in to a 12-ounce microwave-safe ceramic mug. Combine the mixture with a fork. Then, add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla into the dry ingredients. Mix together with a fork. Then, stir in the chocolate chips.

Place mug in microwave, uncovered for 90 seconds on high. Let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before eating. You can also top with chocolate syrup or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
